waf_tools.vscode.get_compiler_builtin_defines(tg: task_gen) → list[str]

Extract compiler built-in defines for the active toolchain.

For TI ARM CGT (armcl), reads the .ppm file generated during the configure check step. For GCC, invokes the compiler with -dM -E - to dump predefined macros.

Parameters:

tg – The task generator whose env determines the active compiler.

Returns:

A list of strings, each representing one #define line from the compiler’s built-in defines.
