Add git version information to build artifacts

Functions

configure(ctx)	Find 'git' executable.
fast_get_version_info_git(ctx)	Fast version information retrieval without opening the repository.
find_git(ctx)	Find the 'git' executable and determine its version.
gather_and_validate_version_info(ctx)	Determine version information; to be used in the build context
get_bare_tag(txt)	Extract the plain tag (major.minor.patch) from a describe-like string.
get_master_commit_distance(repo, version)	Compute how many commits the current commit is ahead of 'master'.
get_remote(repo, version)	Determine the 'origin' remote URL.
get_repo(path, search_parent_directories)	Open a repository at the given path.
get_tag(repo)	Return the description of the current commit as produced by 'git describe --tags'.
validate_tag_vs_version(version)	Check that the extracted tag matches the configured version.
